Fallen Angels is an Italian Sleaze Metal/Glam Metal band and "Even Priest Knows" is entitled its brand new opus. As you can all assume by judging the band's name, Fallen Angles try to capture the sound of the mid 80's and bands such as Pretty Boy Floyd, Poison, W.A.S.P., and Motley Crue.
I have to say that after the first spin of "Even Priest Knows" I liked it a lot. Even the production reminds me of that scene that ruled the airwaves back then. The singer Matty Mannant has a voice between Vince Neil (Motley Crue) and Steve Summers (Pretty Boy Floyd) and the guitar work by Ste Wizard is sharp an heavy and includes some killer solos.
"Captain In The Dark", "Feast With The Beast" and "Millionaire Man" are gonna travel you back in time. Yep, all three songs sound like they jumped out from mid-80's!! The references with the glam icons Pretty Boy Floyd are obvious but, believe me, it really doesn't matter at all 'cause those songs are gonna rock your world. "Pink High Heels" 'smells' early Poison while in "The Force Of The Mind" and "Pshycholove" the band delivers two more solid tracks.
Fallen Angels is a band that brings back the sound of the mid 80's glam/sleaze metal with all its glory. They stay focus to their idols and roots and in my humble opinion they are ready for bigger things in the future to come. So, if you are a fan of bands such as Pretty Boy Floyd, Poison, Motley Crue and earlier W.A.S.P., then "Even Priest Knows" is a must purchase for ya!
